The Train at First Look EFM Berlin

The Train will participate in a promotional initiative organized by Telefilm Canada at the European Film Market (EFM).

Produced by Catherine Chagnon, Marie Brassard’s debut feature will be one of six Canadian feature films currently in post-production with export potential that will be showcased with the objective of finding an international sales agent.

Marie Brassard is an actress, writer, and director. She creates surreal theatre performances with exceptional acting and innovative video, light, and soundscapes. Blending voices and music across different levels of reality, she takes us into a world where the lines between private and public become blurred, the relationships between humans and technology become intimate. In 2016, she was awarded the Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec, an honour recognizing her exceptional contribution to Quebec’s artistic community. She received the 2022 Siminovitch Prize, the most prestigious award in Canada, for the innovative nature of her work as a director.

The Train is a Microclimat Films production and will be distributed in Canada by Axia Films.

Monday, February 17 at 11:00 a.m., CinemaxX 13, Berlin. Running time: 45 minutes. Seating is limited.
