Bootlegger opens FNC

The Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal (FNC) is very pleased to announce that Bootlegger by Caroline Monnet will kick off its 50th edition on October 6 at the Cinéma Impérial.

Notable industry figures and festival lovers will meet to celebrate 50 years of the FNC in a big way with the screening of the first feature film by multidisciplinary Algonquin artist Caroline Monnet, presented in collaboration with the First Peoples’ Festival. Bootlegger was shot in French and Anishinabemowin.

The film stars Pascale Bussières, Devery Jacobs, Samian, Jacques Newashish, Dominique Pétin, Joséphine Bacon and C, S, Gilbert Crazy Horse in the lead roles.

Bootlegger is produced by Microclimat Films and distributed in Canada by MK2 MILE END.

The film will be released in Québec on October 8 and in Canada on October 8.
