In the shadows of the #metoo movement, three women working in the landscape of Quebec’s strip club industry find themselves in a state of cognitive dissonance as they negotiate sexual consent for their livelihood. Lydia and Cassandra both face the same consuming anxiety over their looks despite their 25-year age difference, they only feel beautiful when they make a lot of money. When Marie finds out the club she’s been working at for twelve years is closing in a few weeks she feels like her world is being taken away from her. The three women, unknown to each other, navigate different spaces in this landscape but together they tell a story of youth and aging in an industry where heightened beauty standards are currency.
